Multiple video formats were created for the campaign, including French-language versions for use across digital platforms.
Two side-by-side Yukon government posters, one in English and one in French, promoting a new online tool to update health care cards. Both posters feature a stylized nature illustration of a person canoeing down a winding river with mountains in the background, along with a sample Yukon Health Care Insurance Plan card. The English poster is titled "Keeping your health care card up to date is easier than ever" and includes a QR code with the URL yukon.ca/health-care-card, while the French poster displays the translated equivalent.
Bilingual posters were distributed throughout the Yukon, pairing clear update instructions with warm, Yukon-inspired illustration to make the new online tool feel simple and approachable.

A bilingual campaign for a chore nobody wants to do

Challenge

Yukoners need to keep their health care card information current to maintain active coverage, but updating personal information can feel administrative, easy to put off, or confusing. The campaign needed to make the process feel simple, fast, and relevant across communities.

Solution

I made a bilingual campaign of two posters and two videos to introduce the new online update tool. The messaging is plain, the illustration is warm and unmistakably Yukon, and together they carry one idea: you can change your address and keep your coverage active in a few clicks. The posters went out across the territory, and the videos ran on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.

Results

A lapsed card is almost never a decision. It's a form somebody meant to get to. So the campaign went where putting things off actually happens, on a community board and in a feed, and offered a route that takes less time than the reminder took to read. Bilingual from the start rather than translated afterward, which is the difference between reaching French-speaking Yukoners and having reached them on paper.
